Facilitation Tips

This check-off list was developed by a group of statewide peer advocates. The facilitation tips were created by advocates for advocates to ensure they have a voice in public policy.

Individuals with developmental disabilities took the lead in identifying recommendations to the California legislature on developmental services system improvements for meaningful outcomes and improved quality of life. With stakeholders from across the state, they helped develop an inclusive approach to policy making and develop reports delivered to legislators and community groups in accessible multi-media formats and “plain language.”
